Capital One Cup 2012-13

Saints, now in The Championship, joined the competition for Round Two and were drawn away to Stevenage. This was the first ever game between the two clubs. Stevenage are currently in League One having risen through the leagues, reaching their current position in 2010/11. Saints won the game 4-1.

Round Three saw Saints at home to Sheffield Wednesday and won 2-0 quite comfortably, playing well within themselves.

Round Four saw an away tie against Leeds, in which Saints were the complete opposite of the previous round and turned in an abject performance, to see them lose 3-0 and out of the Cup.
